Sprue Cutters Union #13: Preparation

While modeling is suppose to be fun and relaxing, we all know that to complete just one kit can be a fairly exhausting process. Just ask me how my A-6 Intruder is coming along...
The stresses of an activity can hinge upon how much you prepare for it. The better prepared you are to face those challenges can mean the difference between a great model, and one that meets the trash can. I won't belabor the point because the merits of practice and preparation are no-brainers, unless you're Alan Iverson. So, this week I want to know...

- How do you prepare for your next build? -

What are your pre-build rituals that must be accomplished before you cut the first piece off the sprue? Do you compile references? Aftermarket parts? Do you wash the parts? Do you do a dance? Let us know how you get up for your latest creation.

Remember, all it takes is a passion for this hobby and a blog to go along with it! All you have to do is write a post in response to this topic by Sunday and you can be a member of the Sprue Cutters Union. Take a look at the Sprue Cutters Union page for more detail. Once you've written your post, either email me the link or drop the link in the comment section below.
The goal is to send new readers to our sites, so don't forget to include the links to other modelers' responses when you get an opportunity.
Spread the word.
