Park 'n Plates

Park 'n Plates is a series that was released by Mattel in 1989, 1990 and 1991. It re-appeared in 1998, 2003 and 2004 but exclusively through Avon, an American beauty products and personal care manufacturer.

The Park 'n Plates models are sold with a plastic box and a plate that bears the name of the model.

I only bought one car from this series, one that was missing in my collection, a '68 Mustang.

Interestingly, the copyright indicates 1968, the year of release of the 1967 Ford Mustang known as Custom Mustang, one of the original 16 Hot Wheels castings. These two castings are different though.

The '68 Mustang was retooled in 2010 and renamed '67 Custom Mustang. On this model the hood does not open.
