Decorating for the holidays doesn't have to cost a lot of money or take a lot of time. With a little creativity and work you can easily make holiday decor for pennies. This year, I decided I was going to go a little above and beyond for Halloween, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. I recently shared my
spooky halloween gallery wall using Goodwill frames and today I'm back with another quick and inexpensive project. I made a trip to Goodwill (surprise, surprise) in search of a few black books. The only criteria I had was that the books be completely black and half off, lucky for me I found a two.
Once I got home I shopped my overflowing containers of scrapbook paper and found the perfect spooky Halloween paper.
I just cut the scrapbook paper to fit over the original binding and used Mod Podge to glue the scrapbook paper to the book. That's it. It took me about 1 minute to complete two books for my entryway table.
While I had my Mod Podge out I also searched for free labels and found this awesome arsenic label that I glued to a cheap bottle from Michaels.
